New Tool Proficiencies

The following tool proficiencies are necessary at some point in the game.


Navigators Tools (Wildspace): 35 gp.  4 lb.  Similar but not the same as tools for navigating on the seas, these tools include a basic set of maps for whatever star system they were purchased in; new maps will be needed whenever navigating a new star system. Possessing this proficiency allows you to add your proficiency bonus and your INT bonus, if any. 

Orrery: (Any Space) 500 gp. or more.  10 lb. or more. A complex mechanical magic item (rare) that maps out star systems and plots a course.  Requires attunement by specific spellcaster class, 3rd level or higher. A proficient PC uses this skill to plot the course desired, and the orrery communicates the course to the helm.  This provides an "auto pilot" of sorts. 

 Mechanika Tools  50 gp. 6 lb. All the tools an arcane mechanic needs to produce mechanica. 

Gunsmithing kit: 50 gp.. 5 lb. All the tools necessary to build and maintain firearms. 

Crew Served Weapons: the ability to aim, fire, reload and maintain up to 2 types of siege weapons. 

Bombard: the ability to aim, fire, reload and maintain a bombard, or canon.
